A Lovely Staycation Was Had By All

posted on 14 May 2013 in Holiday and Travel

When I was a kid, my friend's grandparents had a motorhome. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. For a six-year-old, it was almost like a fully-stocked play home they would let us hang out in there and play house, pretending that it was our own mansion. One weekend, my friend and I had a sleepover at her grandparents place. To our joy (and surprise), they let us stay in the motorhome on our own! They packed us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and warned us not to use the restroom. We stayed up almost all night. We slept in bunk beds. The couch transformed to a lower bunk, and there was a pull-out bunk above that. There was a storm that rolled in, and we were both a little scared. But, we knew that her grandparents would come get us if there were serious weather threats. So, we told each other made-up stories of how people lived in motorhomes like this one, and disappeared if storms rolled in. It was one of the best "vacations" of my childhood!

DIY: I Want to Replace Our Kitchen

posted on 6 May 2013 in Home and Garden

We've recently installed new juliette balconies to our home, and now we're looking at the next project. My wife is quite the cook. Whether she is just making stew, preparing a frittata or juggling ingredients and dishes to finish the 15 desserts plus ham and devilled eggs she contributes to our Thanksgiving Dinner or kitchen gets quite a lot of work. Unfortunately, the kitchen hasn’t been remodeled since it was built in 1976. Every time we prepare to remodel the kitchen, another project ends up bumping the kitchen makeover. We have replaced the appliances, and have a double oven range that we would keep, but I would replace cabinets and countertops, replacing our static design with a layout that gave us more effective and useful layout that provides more countertop footage, more workspace in the kitchen. I would also tear down the half wall between the family room and kitchen, to move open up the space, and remove the soffit to install taller cabinets providing more storage space. I would also replace the floors and install granite countertops instead of the laminate countertops in the kitchen presently. This would make our kitchen more functional and attractive.

Talk about Lino's Plans to Enter Politics

Lino has been very vocal about his plans to enter politics. Lately, he has become visible in more and more social events. It seems that the guy is making his presence felt in society. He tells everyone how excited he is to enter a new phase in his life. He claims that he did not plan for this to happen, although politics really runs in the family. For the longest time, Lino's dad has been prodding him to follow in his footsteps but it is only lately that Lino is responding positively. What could have brought about the change of heart? Lino says he is not sure but the only thing he knows is that he wants to serve other people more and he thinks that he can do so if he holds a position in public office. With everything that seems to be happening so fast, Lino's wife, gives him stability. Rose suggests for Lino to review his options very well before pushing through with his plans. After all, when he gets into it, there's no turning back anymore.

How Children Need to Learn and Grow Up

posted on 3 May 2013 in Uncategorised

Children like to do things that are fun. They want to have fun all the time and every time they get an opportunity. The parents of these children have to e ready to give these children fun and more fun so that will be happy. Children don't have to be studying or sleeping all the time, they need to play and grow physically. Taking out the children to play with others at the park is one of the parents rights that is very important to these children. Parents need to accompany their children out to play in the park or play ground with other children. When children are playing in the play ground with others, they get to use their physical skills and creativity to do stuff with their friends or on their own. Children grow so fast when they play with other children of their age. These children teach each other how to do stuff and how to get through problems that they go through as children. Learning this way is fast and unforgettable for a child. They will come across that problem and solve it as they had been taught by their friends.

New Ipod Touch Game Application a Possible Hit

posted on 1 May 2013 in Technology

The new ipod touch game by Squareloft is predicted to be a hit on RPG gamers as it is the much-anticipated sequel to the final fantasy franchise. What is more exciting is that the company will be releasing it also as an application for itouch users. The agreement reached by Apple officers and Squareloft estimated the software to be worth $2 million and would earn both companies millions once the software is launched. Itouch users are also anticipating the release of the new final fantasy but are apprehensive about the price of the download and how do I put apps on my ipod touch if it only has 16gb as many believe that the franchise game is bigger and would eat a lot of space on the itouch memory. Apple executives however are mum over the details saying that the game's specification and full features will only be made public in the launching, as it would spoil the launching event, which is scheduled later this year. Squareloft however assures their fans that the game's features would not require much memory space however they would not compromise the game's digital features. .

Waiting for an Important Package to Arrive

Jake was already at the airport and was about to leave for a business conference to Beijing, China when he thought of going back to his apartment. He remembered that he forgot to place in his suitcase the brown envelope which contained some importance papers that may be needed for the trip. He also wanted to see if he could still see Bryan for much needed samsung phone help. But when he tried to check what time it was, he knew that it was going to be impossible for him to get back at the airport in time. And since he did not want to miss his flight, he just dropped the idea of going back to his apartment. Instead, he called his executive assistant, Kurt, to send him via mail all the papers that he missed to bring. He knew that Kurt could be depended on for these things and he was confident that he will deliver as usual. True enough, one day after his arrival to Beijing, Jake received the package that he had asked Kurt to send him.

When the Tempers Flare, Go Outside in the Summer and Have Fun

posted on 14 April 2013 in Construction and Industrial

I'm lucky in that my job (working on historical restoration of buildings, you'll often see me high up on a building in my Exofit harness) I'm outside much of the time. However, for others, when summer comes and people are stuck inside too long, tempers sometimes rise. To fight this problem and to make the house feel a whole lot better, having the whole family go outside to enjoy the summer sun, with plenty of sunscreen, of course, is recommended.

I remember my mother doing this when she was feeling a little stressed out. She used to send me out of the house to play during the hot summer months under the cooling waters of a sprinkler. I used to run through it in my bathing suit and loved to slide on a slip and slide with my sisters. It was great fun! Who could stay angry or upset with all of that wonderful cool water hitting your hot body? not me! If there was any anger left, it vanished once I chased and shot my sister with a water gun and she responded in kind. We both started chasing each other around and laughing. Our mother finished up her chores in the kitchen, made some lemonade for us, and set out a pitcher of that lemonade and some glasses and then brought out a plate of cookies and some freshly washed strawberries and put them on the picnic table. It was a family feast. Then, we talked and laughed together, dad and mom and all of my sisters. It was a fun time. Now, I am 50, when it is hot inside and the temper is flaring, I like to walk outside with my lemonade and settle myself down to read a good book under an umbrella or a tree or to draw or to take photos with my digital camera while children play and others go out jogging, walking, and biking. The summer outdoors is fun at any age.

Somethings Are Just Not Possible to Do

I finally got to see the video of the album The first love by Bobby Darling and I was very excited. I had first heard this song when I was in school but after that I did not know who was the singer or the name of the song till I saw the video on Youtube. Although I didnt like the video a lot I wanted to save the song. But I have never heard about saving only the audio from Youtube so I began to wonder how do I rip audio from youtube. I tried searching on the internet but most of the sites hardly explained how to copy the audio. I must have spent hours searching if someone had an idea but I couldnt find any. I didnt give up so I began asking my friends if any of them had an idea to copy only the audio from Youtube. But whomsoever I asked told me that it was not possible to do so. I finally gave up the idea of ripping the song.

About Our Trip to Guizhou provence in Southwest China

posted on 31 March 2013 in Holiday and Travel

In 2006 my wife and two friends of mine travelled to Guizhou, in southwest China. Known as the poorest provence (state) in China, we were interested to see what it would be like. We arrived in Guiyang on the first night, and we stayed in a hotel rooms that cost 150 RMB for the night for each room. So 75 RMB each, which was less that $10. We decided to challenge ourselves and as we were getting out of the city, we said we would would try and reduce our hotel bill each night we were in Guizhou, our plan was to stay for 6 nights. We travelled by bus on the second day to Huang guo shu waterfall, the largest in Asia, and we found a hotel overlooking the waterfall. The four of us shared a room, and it cost 120 RMB for the night, 30 RMB each, still on track. The waterfall was spectacular and we have a great meal and drinks that night looking out at the waterfall. On the third day, we took a train across the provence to a place called Chang An, this was up in the mountains to the east of the provence. We could not find a hotel, but my wife who is chinese started talking to the locals and we soon found out that one family had a few spare rooms and we would be welcome to stay there. They charged us 20 RMB each per night. It was so beautiful in the mountains we stayed for the rest of the week. We ate great food and hiked each day. What a great holiday!

Later this year we're going on a very different kind of holiday - renting a farm cottage in the Peak District - after all, holidaying is about collecting new experiences.

All I Ask for Is a Wine Cellar and Some Books

posted on 26 March 2013 in Construction and Industrial

If money is no object, I can do a lot. I have spent a lot time dreaming about what my dream house would be like, and the first obstacle was always money. But since that is not an issue in the unconfined imagination of my mind, I can let me dreams run wild. The biggest point of a home is that it is a combination of refuge and warmth, both physical and emotional. I want a home that is comfortable for everyone without making me feel like I am constantly being crowded out of my own home by visitors who refuse to leave. My dream home would have a small study with wall to wall books. Those books would mainly be cookbooks, which is convenient, because it would be connected to an open floor plan kitchen with a six burner range and double broilers, plus a couple kitchen islands and a breakfast nook. I really wouldn’t have a rec room like a lot of homes, but I know I would love to install something like a second study combined with a wine cellar (I already have a wine cooler in my kitchen). Picture a glass walled cellar with a couple of very comfortable chairs, a small table, and a wonderful sound system where I could just wile away the day. Bedrooms would not be large, but the closets would be, and each bathroom would have separate showers and baths (always loved that, even if it meant more scrubbing).

In the construction of this wonderful building, I'd lend a hand. I'd love to hold a paint brush, a trowel - even a concrete cutting saw - and lovingly help piece together this dwelling.

Put all your earnings in good use.

The joy of making money is using the money to meet the needs and some of the wants that you have. you need to enjoy life and what it is offering with the money that you earn through hard work, otherwise working will be meaningless to you. If for instance you want to connect to the whole world, it is time to contact bt yahoo email so that the BT service providers will serve you with their internet services. Do not limit yourself when you can afford it and you are sure that you need it. With such services like the internet, you can enjoy life so much since the internet can ease your work so much and it can entertain you as well. Get a good home for yourself as well and equip it in the best way that you can. In as much as saving money is good, it is not wise to spend so little and save the rest. Leaving your needs unsatisfied is not the best way to live even if you are saving so much money.

Ways to increase safety in the banking hall

posted on 24 March 2013 in Uncategorised

When in the banking hall you will be considered a threat to the establishment if you go picking calls while in the hall. This is even more so when you are the teller. You therefore have to device a way of finding out who called you and what better way than to check in the internet. All you need to do is type how can I find who is calling me and you will have all the answers you need. The security measure that banks take to prevent robberies from happening has been successful to an extent. For a teller to keep in touch with her callers instead of wondering how can I find who is calling me she may choose to use the online directories to find the names of her callers. Banking institutions are the prime place for robberies since they deal with money a lot. These days you will find that the robberies do not take place in the hall itself but during transits when money is being taken to another establishment.

Why do my nails get stained all the time?

posted on 17 March 2013 in Uncategorised

I am a clean freak. I like things around me to be clean but I have one problem and it is with my nails. I never seem to manage to keep them neat though I have them polished in light pink most of the time. Each time I check under my nails I find smudges of brown looking dirt and I don't understand where it comes from since I use wet wipes always to clean my hands especially when I am in public. could my case be of bad habits that I don't notice or is it that I need to cut my nails to keep them neat all at once? Not that short nails on my hands stay neat ever but at least the smudges in them aren't that much. It is so embarrassing when a person of my nature, with the way that I am known to be neat and clean I am seen with nails that are embarrassing on a woman. I am starting to think that this is a medical condition because really I have tried and the results are always the same and disappointing.

The Challenges I Had Growing Up

posted on 7 March 2013 in Technology

Completing college was a great challenge for me when I had no money and nothing to fund my education. It was kind of very tough but then it all went on well and I graduated with even the best degree in my class. I wonder where I would be if I hadn't taken that bold step to complete college , probably I would be hanging in there thinking or looking for a job that pays low and definitely requires me to know how to connect security camera to tv, but here I am today getting interviews from the biggest companies in the country and now I don't even know where to start from at all. I cannot even imagine how I came this far but then I just did with no problems at all. I know how hard it was for me and those are the days of my life that I really do not want to remember but then agin remembering them brings me to the awareness that I survived it through to the end .

Go out of your way to do good for others

posted on 6 March 2013 in Uncategorised

When you go out of your way to be nice or to do something good, your actions will not go unnoticed. Society notices bad behavior and this is what is highlighted often but the very same society does notice good deeds although it does not applaud them enough. Appreciation for good deeds is certainly welcome but it shouldn't be a determinant of choices that are made on www.whatcanidoto.co.uk to do good for others. In doing good things, one should pretend as if they are in a dark room and their good deeds are only known to them. When good things are done not for show off, they are genuine and not pleasing only to the eye. It is such good things that are rewarded heavily in more ways than those who do good can anticipate. If all people on this earth could do one good thing for the other one day only, the earth would be a place that is more comfortable to live in. A step out of the house today could be the beginning of a path to do something nice for another.

My Dream Home is the Opportunity of a Lifetime

posted on 1 March 2013 in Home and Garden

Who wouldn't want the chance to design their own home? I know I would. Now, I've never had this chance but if I did this is how it would go. First off, my dream home would be somewhere in the country but not too far from the amenities that the city offers. My yard would be two acres minimum with a full fence all around it. I'd love to have an array of solar panels to keep energy costs low and a windmill to generate electricity while the sun is down. I'd certainly want to make sure the home was environmentally friendly. The house itself would have five bedrooms. I only need three of the bedrooms but I love having company over so the extra two bedrooms would be a must. The house would also have three bathrooms and one of the bathrooms would be connected to the master bedroom. A play room would be wonderful for the kids and I'd make sure to equip such a room with a ton of activities for kids and adults as well. I've always wanted an attic and a basement so that would also be included in the house. Not that I'd need such things but it would be nice to have. I'd want a garden area outside that was enclosed in a seperate fence area so my dog couldn't get in to destroy my veggies. Finally I'd have to have a good size two car garage with a small shop connected. I suppose many people would want much more than all this if they were given the chance to design their dream home but I feel that a five bedroom house with an attic, basement, three bathrooms, a central spiral staircase, and garage is enough for me as long as I can keep my energy costs down.

Daughter Shows Concern for Her Beloved Mother

posted on 1 March 2013 in Uncategorised

Mom is cooking for Vic's birthday. I see nothing wrong with that except that mom gets so tired every time she cooks. I warned her earlier not to tire herself too much but it seems that I came across mom the wrong way. She got so upset with me. She accused me of thinking that she is too old to be useful. I tried to explain my point but mom won't listen to me. She just cooked and cooked until forever. When dinner was almost ready, we could not find her anymore. When I checked in her room, she was already fast asleep. She didn't have enough energy left to talk to the guests. That's what I am talking about. If mom would only listen, she would be all right. The next day, mom found me checking out whattodoifsomeone.com on my laptop. She approached me said, I know I should have listened to you. I know you only meant well. I am sorry. That was enough for me to forget about what happened. I gave mom a big hug and told her I love her very much.

Terry Moves Closer to Living a Dream

posted on 28 February 2013 in Uncategorised

As soon as Terry finished her degree in mechanical engineering, she went on to hunt for a job right away. She knew she had to earn money in order to help her family. Terry promised her parents that as soon as she starts to have her own income, she would help in sending her younger siblings to school and she intends to keep that promise. One day, she got a call from one manufacturing firm where she applied for a position in the production department. Although no job offer was given yet, Terry was so excited to submit herself to the intensive screening process. Her mom knew that she was also scheduled for final interview in a different company so she asked, Where would you go if you get job offers from both companies? Terry paused to think before she said, I will go for whoever gives the better offer, mom. I think that's fair enough. Her mom nodded in agreement. Terry knew then that she was a few steps away from fulfilling the promise she made to her parents.
